SOUTHERN VIRGINIA HERBALS
Southern Virginia Herbals is a grower and supplier of medicinal herbs available in bulk, dried and fresh form. Their high quality botanicals are produced on their 150 acre, certified organic farm. The 200 year old farm has been operated organically since 1985. It was certified organic by the Virginia Department of Agriculture in 1993. In recent years it has also used bio-dynamic preparations.

An important part of their work is educating people about the holistic lifestyle and benefits of herbal medicine. They offer an apprenticeship program. This program offers farming experiences that include planting, harvesting, plant identification, medicinal properties, and medicine making. Apprentices also have the opportunity for gardening, canoeing, fishing, and swimming. Plenty of work and fun!
