Djena was part Indian, her name pronounced as "Zshena". On moving from Minnesota to Illinois in 1929, DJena gave started plants to Reverend Morrow (then 15-years old), who nurtured and preserved this variety.] The medium-sized fruits of 'Djena Lee's Golden Girl' have a distinctive golden-orange color and a flavor that is sweet, tangy, and richly balanced.
