Purslane, Summer 'Goldberg'


Portulaca oleracea sativa PORTULACEAE
Upright plants with large, smooth, succulent leaves used as a cut-and-come edible for salads. This is a cultivated variety with much larger leaves and better flavor than the wild type. Medicinal: Wild purslane is a source of omega-3 fatty acids. Hypotensive and diuretic properties reported.
