Leaves are larger and flatter than chive leaves. Garlic flavor for salads and seasoning. Lightly steamed, the greens can be used as a vegetable or garnish. The attractive white flowers are edible, and also can be used in bouquets. Medicinal: Has antibacterial qualities. Important medicinal green in Afghanistan where it is known as "Ga-na-na".
