Calendula officinalis ASTERACEAE
European variety bred for medicinal use. Yellow-orange 3" flowers are rich in carotenoids and resin. Adds a nice color to salads. Also used as a food color, natural dye, and substitute for saffron. Medicinal: Excellent for salves, tinctures, and oils.
